Artist – Teacher – Creator
Julie Green’s artistic nature and passion for the arts were ignited at a young age. Originally from the picturesque green valleys of Wales, United Kingdom, Julie excelled in the subject of art at school. She completed a B.A. (Bachelor of the Arts degree) in humanities and a post-graduate certificate in education from Cardiff University, in Cardiff, Wales.
Julie taught a range of national curriculum subjects, including English, maths, and science, at elementary schools in Wales and London, England. She also taught and specialized in English as a second language.
Popular with her students, Julie encouraged them to draw and awaken their creativity during free class time.
In the summer of 2007, Julie retired to sunny Florida, the United States, where the Art Rooms in Windermere quickly became a place of inspiration for Julie.
Julie has amassed an impressive collection of oil paintings over the years. In 2014, Julie was introduced to mosaics, and has since created countless treasured mosaic 2D and 3D pieces, from portraits to drinks coasters and a large lion sculpture.
Forever learning, Julie attends art conventions and remains inspired by the beauty of nature around her. As an experienced artist and teacher, Julie works kindly and diligently with all ability levels.
Julie offers commissions and currently teaches mosaic classes in a private studio and at the Art Rooms in Windermere, Florida. She provides a live mosaic experience at Café Tu Tu Tango on International Drive, Orlando, Florida. You can also find her unique artwork exhibited at Café Tu Tu Tango.
